In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated engineering team to design and implement advanced solutions that facilitate computing and communication capabilities across various platforms, including tactical and datacenter environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sophisticated networking configurations to enhance system performance.
  • Design and deploy VPN system architectures.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on CSfC policies and procedures.
  • Utilize virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, to optimize system functionality.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of systems engineering activities, ensuring thorough documentation and configuration management.
  • Implement and uphold iGov's ISO 9000:2015 standards and practices.
  • Manage System Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) activities, ensuring adherence to budgetary and scheduling constraints while resolving technical challenges.
  • Perform comprehensive systems analysis and integration of complex networking solutions.
  • Provide engineering insights during the specification, design, integration, testing, and documentation phases.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including interface control documents (ICD) for external systems.
  • Oversee obsolescence management to guarantee compatibility of hardware and software components.
  • Analyze complex task statements and specifications to derive functional and architectural requirements.
  • Ensure a work environment that prioritizes ethics, fairness, and safety.
  • Maintain accurate time reporting and approvals.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers to achieve project goals.
  • Identify potential risks and assess their impact on project budgets and timelines.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative products and solutions in response to evolving requirements.
  • Author and manage technical documentation.
  • Provide expertise to the Sales and Business Development teams.
  • Regular attendance is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Perform additional systems engineering duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in designing complex IT systems.
  • 5 years of experience in Server Operating Systems and Domain Administration within a Windows Server environment.
  • 4 years of experience in virtualization within a VMware context.
  • 4 years of networking experience in a Cisco environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis and problem resolution.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Military experience and familiarity with deploying tactical IT equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic situations.
  • Possession of an active Secret clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry-recognized certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
    • Cisco CCNP, Aruba ACMP, Juniper JNCIP
    • VMware Certified Associate (VCA)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.

Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates may undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information, including possessing an active Secret clearance.
