Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Specialist to join our team at BHP of Central Ohio.

About the Role:

  • As a Residential Support Specialist, you will provide support and guidance to individuals with mental health issues in a residential setting.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility, clients, and community.
  • Your role will involve providing emergency services, coordinating shift operations, and working closely with clients and staff.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor client activity and conduct regular rounds to ensure facility safety.
  • Ensure clients take prescribed medications as required.
  • Recognize and address antisocial or unusual behaviors, notifying supervisors as necessary.
  • Provide emotional support and respond to client concerns.
  • Cleanliness of facilities is your responsibility, including submitting work orders and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is essential, along with training in crisis management and one year's experience in a residential setting.
  • CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Basic computer, phone, and typing skills are necessary.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
