About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at Byline Bank. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing the efficient operation of the branch, ensuring all operational functions are properly performed by the staff, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Branch Manager in leading the branch team to achieve business objectives and provide coaching and direction to staff in sales and service activities.
  • Oversee the teller function, ATM balancing, night depository processing, and customer service duties, ensuring all back-office work is completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, identifying and offering products and services that meet their needs and improve their financial lives.
  • Participate in branch meetings to disseminate operational information, including branch security and safety issues, and prepare teller performance appraisals and disciplinary notices as required.
  • Ensure excellent customer service skills are practiced by all staff members and maintain a positive and professional work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, with a focus on problem-solving and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and prior banking experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to travel to other branch locations as needed.
