Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and supervise office personnel to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Analyze and organize office operations and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Prepare a complete financial statement monthly, adhering to dealership guidelines and manufacturer formats.
  • Maintain an effective cash management system, forecasting cash needs and providing timely daily operating control.
  • Reconcile select accounts monthly and approve adjustments to inventory and receivable accounts.
  • Ensure all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts, are current and accurate.
  • Print monthly journals, schedules, and general ledger, and close the month by processing accounting month-end.
  • Assist in completing annual reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with all government regulations.
  • Prepare payroll on a timely basis, post payroll, and maintain payroll records.
  • Prepare tax reports, tax deposits, and tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stay abreast of current factory incentives and code deliveries on the dealership computer system.
  • Administer the charge-back program for late charges to inventory.
  • Prepare monthly floor plan reports for commission calculations and sales commission/chargeback detail reports.
  • Manage the payoff of vehicle floor plans and work with bank representatives.
  • Approve new charge accounts and oversee the collection of past due accounts.
  • Compile information and prepare reports as requested by management and/or dealer principal.
  • Cross-train a qualified substitute and process paperwork for new employees and terminations.
Requirements
  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
