Nurse Manager

The Endoscopy Head Nurse is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Endoscopy Department, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that the department runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Endoscopy Department, including supervising staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring that all procedures are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and department efficiency.
Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and department operations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that the department meets or exceeds quality standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
Current and in good standing RN licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
ACLS certification required.
Proficiency with PC's and Microsoft office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Evidence of effective leadership, interpersonal skills, consensus and team building skills required.
Working Conditions:
The Endoscopy Head Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure that patients receive timely care. The role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
The Endoscopy Head Nurse will be required to stand, sit, and walk frequently, and may be exposed to infectious specimens, diseases, and soiled laundry. However, the potential for personal harm or injury is limited when proper safety and health precautions are followed.
