About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Burlington, Wisconsin.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to perform a variety of radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic and intermediate radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic and general fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm patient understanding.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing patient radiation protection and safety.
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist and communicate with Radiologists, preparing and maintaining records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • Previous C-arm experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic radiation safety and radiology equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
