About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic & Bone Density Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including general diagnostic and general fluoroscopic exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, providing radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Assist and communicate with Radiologists, preparing and maintaining records in accordance with regulatory agencies and entering patient and study information into the radiology information system.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • Previous C-arm experience.
