Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care
    • Provide rehabilitative services for disabled, injured, and diseased patients within the center
    • Align with Concentra Medical Centers' Injury Process Management and rehabilitation philosophy in occupational medicine
  • Support Multidisciplinary Coordination of Treatment
    • Ensure proper documentation of patient care
    • Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/procedures and applicable regulations
  • Implement Effective Communication
    • Communicate effectively with own and other departments' staff, medical staff, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high-quality service and optimal patient care
  • Plan and Implement Treatment Programs
    • Design, implement, and interpret specific physical therapy treatment programs for patients to facilitate their recovery and attainment of maximum physical potential
    • Educate patients in the proper care and use of supports and performance of exercise programs
  • Collaborate with Physicians and Other Healthcare Professionals
    • Work closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care
    • Communicate with the Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager for each patient
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
    • Masters' Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, preferred
  • Experience
    • Customarily a new graduate to at least five years of demonstrated experience in an orthopedic setting with use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment
    • Ortho-outpatient experience, preferred
  • Skills and Competencies

    • Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
    • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to deal with people in a manner that shows tact and professionalism
    • Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies
