While performing the duties of the job the employee will stand for an extended period of time, walk, bend, stoop, occasionally lift up to 50lbs, use arms and hands at or above shoulder height, work in high areas including the roof, and operate equipment including scissor lift. This is a unionized role based on site and the work schedule is as follows (subject to availability):Second Shift: Monday - Friday (with occasional Saturday)In this role, you will be responsible for the following:Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns in manufacturing production equipment.Rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.Perform electrical troubleshooting, equipment repair, preventative and predictive maintenance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Communicate and work as a team with other key personnel within the operation.Compliance with personal safety, food safety, and environmental standards, at top of mind. This includes following all established maintenance processes to adhere and uphold all plant technical standards and ensure company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations.
About youPREFERRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Possess 2-4 years of maintenance experience in a food production/manufacturing environment, repairing and troubleshooting mechanical issues on packaging and/or filling equipment, and other food processing equipment.Experience with high-speed production equipment.
