Role Summary:
We are on the lookout for a highly qualified Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic workforce in the manufacturing sector.
The selected candidate will take charge of maintaining our advanced machinery, diagnosing issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of our production processes.
This position is vital to our operational success, as it guarantees the continuity of our manufacturing activities and the quality of our offerings.
The ideal applicant will possess a robust background in PLC Programming, mechanical systems, electrical systems, machine operation, precision measurement, and power tools, with at least 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 4 AM to 2 PM - NO REQUIRED WEEKENDSKey Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery, including mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Diagnose and rectify complex equipment failures and troubleshoot issues with PLCs and other automated systems.
- Utilize a variety of machines and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Employ precision measurement tools to ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency and safety.
- Formulate and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to enhance operational efficiency.
- Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and replacement parts.
- Engage in safety meetings and comply with all safety regulations and procedures to uphold a safe and tidy work environment.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve machinery issues, boost productivity, and minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in PLC Programming with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex automated systems.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the capability to efficiently diagnose and repair issues.
- Experience operating various machines and power tools.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools to ensure machinery functions optimally.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with the team and documentation of procedures and repairs.
- Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy machinery components and work in diverse environments.
- A degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent vocational training in mechanical or electrical repairs is preferred.
