Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician II to join our team at DRB (A Vontier Company). As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for advanced level repair and testing of all equipment as assigned, with a focus on electronic repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and diagnose complex electronic equipment, including board-level solder work.
  • Read and diagnose from schematics to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform mechanical or non-electrical repairs as needed.
  • Compile and analyze repair history to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend improved testing procedures to optimize equipment performance.
Administrative Duties
  • Complete work orders and invoicing/credits in Acumatica.
  • Review RMA and associated orders for errors, and notify support or admin departments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Create and maintain accuracy of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assigned products.
  • Maintain physical inventory of swap equipment and repair parts.
  • Assist with daily receiving of assigned equipment.
  • Monitor equipment and repair part levels to maintain zero outages.
Customer Relations
  • Create Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) as needed.
  • Assist with support issues on hardware when a problem arises.
  • Troubleshoot over the phone with our Knowledge Center to resolve equipment issues.
Vendor/Manufacturer Relations
  • Purchase parts inventory.
  • Work with vendors to acquire RMAs.
  • Prepare equipment for shipment to vendors.
  • Complete testing and work orders of equipment repaired and returned from vendors.
  • Work with vendors to resolve product failure issues.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent preferred.
  • 3+ years of electrical repair experience, with ability to read and diagnose from schematics.
  • Warehouse and assembly experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in SalesForce and Acumatica desired.
  • Ability to create and generate reports and track metrics.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Occasional movement about the office.
  • Constant operation of computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Ability to exchange accurate information with customers and coworkers.
  • Regular lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
