Senior Medical Executive

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC) is instrumental in managing the clinical and medical functions of the organization. This leadership role is responsible for setting and refining best practices for patient care, guiding clinical staff towards enhanced performance, and spearheading initiatives for quality improvement.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business or Health Care Administration is preferred.
- MD/DO is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of medical practice experience is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the medical community, administration, and staff are necessary.
- Self-driven with the ability to work autonomously while exercising sound judgment.
- Capability to evaluate situations, respond effectively, and implement policies and procedures independently.
- Exceptional organizational and documentation skills are required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication abilities are essential.
- Proficient in managing complex tasks that require independent knowledge and application in diverse scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a vital member of the ELFHCC Executive Leadership Team, fostering collaboration between administration and medical staff to create a constructive environment.
- Develop and enforce clinical protocols and standards aimed at enhancing the quality of care.
- Provide leadership and guidance to all clinical personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care.
- Encourage a supportive and cooperative workplace for healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategic plans that align with the mission and objectives of ELFHCC.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for service expansion and enhancement of healthcare delivery.
- Oversee initiatives for quality improvement to boost clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and assess clinical practices to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations pertinent to Federally Qualified Health Centers.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and modify policies and procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with other executives and departments to ensure efficient operations throughout the organization.
- Maintain effective communication with internal staff, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
Additional Responsibilities
All other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Physical Requirements: The role involves working in a dynamic office and community environment, which may require local travel. Physical demands include prolonged periods of sitting or standing and phone usage. The ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies (5-10 lbs.) may be necessary.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
