Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at Urban Animal. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, managing client relationships, and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relations
    • Interact professionally and positively with all clients, providing exceptional service and support.
    • Manage client correspondence, including procedure reminders and sympathy cards.
    • Answer client inquiries about basic animal care and promote client education on parasite preventatives.
  • Admitting and Discharging Patients
    • Accurately process payment transactions and enter client and patient information into our practice software.
    • Admit patients and handle computerized medical records entries.
    • Prepare health certificates, immunization certificates, and euthanasia certificates.
  • Facility Maintenance
    • Maintain a professional and welcoming appearance of the front office through cleaning and organization.
    • Offer proper upkeep for and troubleshoot office equipment.
  • Company Policies and Procedures
    • Follow company dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
    • Arrive to work on time for each scheduled shift and provide proper notice of absences, late arrivals, and time off needs.
    • Follow company policy regarding personal use of office equipment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous customer service experience required.
    • Previous receptionist and veterinary practice experience desirable but not required.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Client service oriented with great people skills and communication abilities.
    • Reliable with strong work ethic and ability to multitask and work under pressure.
    • Compassionate and animal friendly with basic math and spelling skills.
    • Basic computer knowledge required, including typing and keyboarding skills.
