VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with routine exams, surgeries, and dental procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Perform lab tests and diagnostic imaging to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Teach pet owners about proper animal care and treatment plans.
- Prepare for surgery, monitor anesthesia, and assist with patient recovery.
- Perform intravenous catheter placements and venipuncture.
