Your responsibilities as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist
- Administer all compensation and benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement plans, leave management, wellness initiatives, and voluntary benefits.
- Lead the management of the Paid Time Off (PTO) program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, addressing employee inquiries, and conducting audits for data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain all communications and materials related to benefits, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and timely distribution.
- Assist in monitoring and responding to complex inquiries in the Benefits email inbox, providing exceptional customer service to HR leads, management, and employees.
- Analyze eligibility, participation, and utilization of all benefits regularly.
- Generate various HR reports related to benefits programs to support key HR initiatives.
- Manage participants and plans across multiple subsidiaries and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee benefit billing and reconciliation, including auditing vendor invoices for accuracy and processing necessary payroll adjustments.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of required regulatory guidelines for health and welfare and 401(k) plans.
- Administer and execute open enrollment and year-end activities, including employee communications and processing enrollments through HRIS/Benefits systems.
Qualifications for the role
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of benefits regulations, including IRS Code Section 125, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and ACA.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Additional preferred qualifications
- Experience with HRIS and Benefits Administration software is advantageous.
