Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team in Newburgh. As a Floater, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a fast-paced laboratory setting. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently will make you an ideal candidate for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and other specimen collection methods.
  • Label, centrifuge, and process specimens according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and update patient information as needed.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient specimen processing and timely results.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on laboratory procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed (as required).
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a laboratory or hospital setting.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent patient interaction skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Compensation:

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $23.00/Hr. - USD $25.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
