Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Surgeon to join our team at the University of Florida. As a key member of our Department of Surgery, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching and mentoring students and residents, and contributing to the advancement of surgical knowledge through research and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the inpatient burn service, burn operating room, outpatient burn clinic, and burn outpatient reconstruction program
  • Participate in the trauma and acute care surgery call schedule with other faculty members
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs for residents and fellows
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities to advance the field of burn surgery and critical care
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement clinical and educational programs

Requirements:

  • MD degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in general surgery
  • Fellowship training in burn surgery and surgical critical care

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in academic surgery and education
  • Strong research and publication record
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
