Vitreoretinal Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vitreoretinal Surgeon to join our team at the University of Florida. As a key member of our Department of Ophthalmology, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, conducting research, and teaching residents and medical students.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in retina and vitreous diseases and surgery, with a proven track record of clinical expertise, teaching, and research. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex eye conditions.

• Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of retina and vitreous diseases
• Conduct research in retina and vitreous diseases and surgery, with a focus on advancing our understanding of these conditions and developing new treatments
• Teach residents and medical students in the Department of Ophthalmology, with a focus on retina and vitreous diseases and surgery
• Participate in academic activities, including presentations, publications, and service on departmental and university committees

• Completion of an approved ophthalmic residency program and postgraduate fellowship training in retina and vitreous diseases and surgery
• Board certification or eligibility, and eligibility for unrestricted licensure in Florida
• Strong commitment to teaching, research, and academic activities

• Experience in retina and vitreous diseases and surgery, with a focus on clinical expertise, teaching, and research
• Strong publication record, with a focus on retina and vitreous diseases and surgery
• Experience in academic leadership, including departmental and university service
