Job Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:
In this role, you will be responsible for fitting and assembling mechanical and/or electrical components in accordance with provided schematics or designs, as well as constructing high-speed, precision machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Analyze assembly and electrical schematics and bills of materials to effectively plan machine-building tasks.
2. Fit and assemble components per specifications utilizing appropriate tools while ensuring parts meet quality standards.
3. Assemble, configure, and may operate machinery to confirm functionality, performance capabilities, and compliance.
4. Form and secure pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures, and attachments necessary for machine operation.
5. Install wiring, electrical components, and perform panel assembly according to specifications.
6. Troubleshoot assemblies and machinery by identifying and resolving issues that impact operational efficiency.
7. Collaborate with project teams to address build challenges and ensure accurate documentation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


A technical degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related discipline is preferred, or a high school diploma accompanied by at least one year of relevant experience in mechanical, HPL, and/or electrical assembly of industrial machinery.

Proficiency in assembling both mechanical and electrical components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Possession of necessary hand tools.

This position does not have direct leadership responsibilities over other team members.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, or other movements.
Occasional repetitive motions and grasping.
Occasional climbing to access areas on machines or racks.
Ability to lift, move, or transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and >20 lbs. frequently.
Typically involves sitting, grasping items, or performing keyboarding for occasional computer operation.
Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection.
