The facility employs advanced modular construction methods, allowing for efficient assembly-line manufacturing. This innovative approach enables high levels of pre-outfitting while maintaining accessibility to internal compartments.

Position Responsibilities:
The Aluminum Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly and complete welding of small aluminum components. Key duties include:
  • Reviewing engineering drawings to determine the layout and assembly sequence of small weldments.
  • Identifying necessary equipment and welding methods, utilizing knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques.
  • Positioning and securing parts according to specifications using precision measuring tools.
  • Cutting aluminum materials using powered saws and hand tools.
  • Executing welding tasks using FCAW equipment and spot welding guns.
  • Assembling components in various positions, including flat and vertical.
  • Operating cranes to manage large workpieces.
  • Inspecting workpieces for quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess U.S. Person status.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Preferred qualifications include:
  • A Welding Certificate from a technical institution.
  • Two to three years of relevant welding experience.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and hand tools.
  • Experience in light gauge aluminum fabrication.
  • Knowledge of Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques.
