Job Summary

Encore Medical Device Repair is seeking a skilled Medical Device Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Surgical Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of medical devices and equipment to ensure their optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on medical devices and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company protocols.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues and malfunctions in medical devices promptly and accurately.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and calibration of medical equipment to ensure precision and reliability in measurements and outputs.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
  • Ensure all repaired and maintained equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to healthcare staff on the proper use and care of medical devices.
  • Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, certification in medical device repair is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device repair and maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and team members.
  • High level of precision and accuracy in performing repairs and documentation.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as necessary.
