Pharmacy Order Entry Technician

At BrightSpring Health Services, we are committed to providing exceptional pharmacy services to our clients. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medication order processing system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage and interpret medication orders, accurately inputting them into our computerized system while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical conversions, to ensure accurate medication dosing.
  • Resolve issues related to denied claims and follow up on pending claims in our Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
  • Produce reports and inform management of unpaid claims and pending follow-up claims.
  • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers, adhering to our company values.
  • Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy-related experience.
  • Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and the metric system, with the ability to operate a computer.
  • Licenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, customer service, and oral communication skills.
