Job Summary:

BHcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that offers a comprehensive and integrated system of care with wrap-around services for adults, children and families struggling with mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and other health-risk behaviors. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team and provide the necessary support and training to help individuals achieve their employment and career advancement goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-the-job training and support services to individuals in need.
  • Conduct career planning classes and vocational groups as needed.
  • Staff will be mobile, spending time in the community as determined by program guidelines.
  • Maintain records in accord with policies and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions, workshops, seminars as requested by supervisor, or as needed for professional development, or as required for accreditation or licensing.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Associates degree or College coursework equivalent (2 years) and 2 years work experience in behavioral health field; OR high school diploma and minimum of 4 years of experience in behavioral health field.
  • Ability to complete training as may be required for position and program assigned.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
