Job Summary

We are seeking a fully licensed mental health therapist to join our team. As an Office-Based Therapist, you will provide standardized counseling/talk therapy sessions for Stokes Counseling clients with mild to moderate mental health conditions and/or substance abuse issues. You will work under the direction of a senior member of our Clinical Team and collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake/biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental and behavioral health status.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses and develop short-term and long-term treatment plans tailored to individual clients' needs.
  • Provide timely and professional counseling services to scheduled clients, utilizing professional counseling industry standards.
  • Identify and refer clients with urgent mental health conditions to appropriate emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent documentation of clinical and counseling services, including billing information.
Requirements
  • Fully licensed mental health therapist in the State of Connecticut (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC).
  • One to three years of experience conducting counseling/talk therapy sessions with diverse client populations.
  • Advanced proficiency in conducting intake assessments and formulating treatment plans.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to maintain documentation within the appropriate time frames.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in clinical practice.
