The successful candidate will integrate into the Cloud Security team, a vital segment of our broader Cybersecurity division. This team of security experts is responsible for overseeing the security protocols associated with the organization’s cloud assets. They play a crucial role in facilitating the secure transition and integration of cloud technologies, planning, testing, automating, and deploying security measures across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, while utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Cloud initiative at Visa, contributing to the architecture, strategy, and roadmap for cloud platforms while managing the adoption process.
  • Collaborate with Operations & Infrastructure (O&I) during the intake and solutioning phase of new Cloud workloads, translating business needs into technical requirements for Cloud engineers.
  • Implement cloud security strategies to support Visa's Hybrid & Multi-Cloud solutions across various providers.
  • Oversee security architecture for hybrid cloud environments, ensuring designs meet standards for security, consolidation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design secure cloud-native platforms and core services, implementing security controls across diverse public and private cloud environments.
  • Evaluate the security and architecture of business applications transitioning to public clouds.
  • Mentor and coach team members and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Research and assess emerging technologies relevant to cloud security.
  • Automate dedicated products and services on the cloud landing platform.
  • Collaborate closely with other cloud teams and business units, supporting Cloud platforms during US time zones.
  • Act as an advocate for Cloud computing within the organization.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing employees to alternate between remote work and office attendance. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to be in the office 2-3 designated days a week, based on business needs.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 5 years with an Advanced Degree, or 2 years with a PhD, or 11+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7+ years with an Advanced Degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• In-depth technical knowledge of public cloud environments like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Strong grasp of cloud computing and security principles, with proficiency in designing and implementing Zero Trust Architectures in public cloud settings.
• Experience in developing scalable cloud security solutions and presenting technical content to larger audiences and leadership.
• Proficient in automation programming, particularly with Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Proven ability to deliver results, work cross-functionally, and influence stakeholders during cloud transformation initiatives, prioritizing security.
• Experience in cloud migration and transformation, including DevSecOps models and IaaS/PaaS principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

Travel Requirements: This role may require travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position is office-based, requiring the ability to sit and stand at a desk, communicate effectively, and operate standard office equipment.
