Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures, including setting up and sterilizing equipment and supplies.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting with recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including surgical site verification and instrument counts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies, participating in ongoing education and training.
- Basic Life Support certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting
