About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Yanfeng Automotive. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take their career to the next level and make a significant impact on our company's success.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for supporting the risk and failure analysis reviews, updating and maintaining control plans, and ensuring that our quality system is maintained in accordance with international standards.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and establish partnerships both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews and update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned work flows
* Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits
* Performs root cause analysis of technical problems
* Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the International Operating System (IOS) standards
* Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices
* Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues
* Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses
* Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.)
* Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes
* Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies)
* Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.)
* Quality System: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Quality requirements
* Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS): Understand, apply and meet all function-related EHS requirements
* Product Safety: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements
* Compliance: Understand, apply and meet all function-related Compliance requirements
* Information Security: Understand, apply and meet all function-related IT / Information Security and confidentiality of YFAI information requirements
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Level Degree
* Area of Study: Quality, Industrial of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering related function
* 1-3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar
* Less Than 1 Year of Experience within the automotive industry
* Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally
* Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
