We are seeking a skilled Network/System Support Specialist to join our team at Northwest Ohio Computer Association. As a key member of our NWOCA program, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network and computer systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization. As a Network/System Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing troubleshooting and maintenance activities on our network and computer systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Serving as the primary contact between school personnel and our organization.
  • Assisting in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure.
  • Managing and maintaining systems for NWOCA and its member districts.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network management tools.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.
  • Providing field technical support and phone calls in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Maintaining up-to-date network documentation and inventory.
  • Conducting regular network configuration and applying updates, patches, and upgrades based on our security program.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in network administration or a related field.
  • Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and hardware.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Northwest Ohio Computer Association (NWOCA) is a not-for-profit Council of Governments organized under Chapter 167 of the Ohio Revised Code. Our purpose is to provide educational entities in greater northwestern Ohio access to a variety of cooperative administrative services, thereby reducing the cost of obtaining these services. Currently, we provide data processing services through our Northwest Ohio Computer Association (NWOCA) subsidiary, assist in the preparation of financial reports, and offer a wide range of professional development opportunities to employees of our member districts.
