Overview:

Capstone is seeking a skilled System Administrator to provide comprehensive support for our IT infrastructure. This role is essential in ensuring the stability and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain AIM / LAS environments, ensuring all hardware and software are operational as per the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation.
  • Monitor automated scripts and promptly report any failures to relevant teams.
  • Regularly update and patch software, including Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) and Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Manage and track tickets for routine system maintenance with appropriate IT infrastructure organizations.
  • Oversee general system administration for application servers, maintaining proper access controls.
  • Evaluate system performance and implement necessary improvements.
  • Communicate scheduled downtimes to affected users 48 hours in advance.
  • Notify users of issues immediately upon identification.
  • Utilize the Vulnerability Risk - Asset Manager (VRAM) System and automated scanning tools to monitor systems for vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in annual security reviews and contingency testing.
  • Implement Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists as mandated by Risk Management Framework (RMF) schedules.
  • Execute configuration changes as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable IA Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins and Navy IA policy.
  • Establish and uphold DoD compliant safeguards to protect systems and data, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation of Government information.

Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Must possess an Interim Secret Clearance upon starting.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in software, systems/network architecture, project management, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Certifications: IA Contractor Training and Certification and Computing Environment (CE) certification may be required at the task order level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Possession of a DoD Secret Clearance is advantageous.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Business, Engineering, Physical Science, or a comparable degree is preferred. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, or equivalent are also valued.
