Job Summary

The Network Systems Administrator will provide support to the Navy Medicine Operational Training Command (NMOTC) Information Management and Technology Department IT Service Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure Network Management Systems to provide DHA compliant administrative services.
  • Develop and train privileged users in procedures to support the transition from Cisco Systems equipment to Ruckus Networks equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis of network-related connectivity issues.
  • Design and maintain Network Topology and Zone Mapping Diagrams of all NMOTC locations.
  • Maintain lifecycle management of all network hardware.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for network device configuration.
  • Administer, Maintain and Update all LAN transport devices to ensure connectivity to all NMOTC Pensacola endpoints.
  • Design, implement, and administer WLAN transport methods.
  • Develop network security control procedures based on Security Requirements set forth by the Defense Information Systems Agency, Defense Health Agency, and local NMOTC Policies.
  • Implement security controls, monitor, and respond to security alerts.
  • Design, implement, specify, install and repair physical media to enable and maintain network connectivity throughout NMOTC multi-building campus.
  • Perform ACAS scanning to identify vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure and EUD footprint.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Network Administration with ten years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience in planning, installing, and managing commercial wireless systems.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have and ability to maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
