Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to oversee system administration and support requirements for Military Sealift Command (MSC) fleet in Pensacola, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing system synchronization of local development VMs, assisting with the delivery, patching, and maintenance of test and operational RHEL systems, and creating and executing integration and system tests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform system synchronization of local development VMs
  • Assist with the delivery, patching, and maintenance of test and operational RHEL systems
  • Create and execute integration and system tests
  • Troubleshoot software system issues
  • Work as an effective team member across multiple disciplines (systems, networking, configuration management, & test engineering)
Requirements:
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret clearance
  • Required Experience: 5+ years
  • Required Certifications: IAT Level II Certification. Obtain a Linux Operating System certification (Linux+, etc.) within 6 months from hire date.
  • Education: BA/BS Degree or experience in lieu of degree.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with log analysis tools, such as Graylog
  • Experience with IT infrastructure management tools, such as RedHat Satellite
  • Experience with system automation tools, such as Ansible
  • Experience with Apache HTTP Server
  • Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN)
  • Experience with databases (examples: Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, etc.)
  • Experience administering software configuration management tools (examples: GIT, CVS, SVN, etc.)
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi
