We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Mechanical Engineer - Test Development, you will be responsible for managing the testing process for individual test subjects, from test design and planning through execution to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute test plans, including preliminary analysis of data results.
- Manage the testing process, including scheduling tests and required resources.
- Provide technical communications for test engineering to project customers.
- Work with labor, test support, and engineering resources to actively manage the test from set up to completion.
- Develop and maintain a proficiency in understanding chiller test data to guide customer engineering teams.
- BS required.
- A minimum combination of seven (7) years direct work experience in HVAC/R equipment development, servicing or testing.
- Desired background in engineering and development testing, with use of a variety of test instrumentation.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC, with a good understanding of HVAC/R systems, concepts, and diagnostics.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, schedule-driven work environment.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Strong organization and problem-solving experience.
- Ability to guide or mentor less experienced technical personnel.
- Strong group communication skills, presentation skills.
- Excellent computer and data analysis/management skills.
- Demonstrated strong financial and analytical skills.
- Experience with component or system testing, test procedure development, and mechanical fluid or airflow system design, troubleshooting or operation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
