Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at LifePort, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facilities, building systems, and related equipment to ensure a safe and fully functional work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance work on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met.
  • Set up and operate machine tool equipment and basic production equipment as needed to fabricate, repair, and/or duplicate parts.
  • Manage janitorial and landscaping contracts on behalf of the company.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment as directed.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner to support operations.
  • Develop and maintain safety programs that adhere to OSHA guidelines and eliminate industrial accidents.
  • Help develop and maintain environmental health programs consistent with EPA guidelines and regulations.
  • Organize and implement company forklift training and certification program.
  • Maintain control of all facility keys.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or equivalent technical certification and three years of work experience driving safety initiatives may be substituted.
  • Five or more years of facilities maintenance experience required.
  • Certifications required to operate forklifts, scissors lift, overhead cranes, and hoists to assist in material and personnel movement.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with ability to take voltage, amperage, OHM, pressure, and/or flow readings.
Working Conditions

The employee will regularly work in a production environment with regular exposure to noise, liquid grinding coolant mist and vapor, dust, and lubricants managed through an exhaust system. Work area is well lit and air conditioned.

All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
