Sanitation Specialist

The Sanitation Worker will play a critical role in maintaining a high level of Food Safety and Product Quality by cleaning and sanitizing food processing equipment, utensils, and facility. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Maintain cleaning and sanitation in accordance with the company Master Sanitation Program
• Utilize chemicals and cleaning agents to clean and sanitize processing area walls, floor, and equipment
• Properly use refuse and sanitation tools
• Remove debris from processing area
• Communicate chemicals supply levels to management
• Observe and record facility conditions to ensure all areas are within company and regulatory specifications
• Verify the adequacy of cleaning and sanitation performed on areas and equipment and complete and sign off on appropriate forms
• Document actions taken in response to unsatisfactory observations on Equipment, Utensils, and/or Process Area conditions
• Complete testing when applicable
• Maintain plant safety
• Maintain and proper use of equipment
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Provide backup support for other duties as needed
• Become certified as an electric pallet jack and forklift operator
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50/100 pounds

• Preferred experience with the utilization of sanitation tools and chemicals, food safety, and the safe operation of fork lifts and powered pallet jacks

Salary Range: $18.50 Hourly
