Diesel Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our team at W.W. Williams. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for accurately troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  • Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
  • Inspecting vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
  • Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.
Requirements:
  • Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3+ Years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
