Nuclear Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Pharmacist to join our team at OU Nuclear RX. As a Nuclear Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the Nuclear Pharmacy, ensuring the safe handling of radioactive materials and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Radiation Safety: Act as the day-to-day radiation safety officer, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lead Employee: Assist in the training and supervision of assigned personnel in the safe handling of radioactive materials.
- Information Distribution: Provide information to physicians and other staff members on the availability of new pharmaceuticals, radiopharmaceuticals, and supplies.
- Radiopharmaceutical Distribution: Dispense radiopharmaceuticals pursuant to a prescription issued by the physician or their directives.
- Transcription: Receive and transcribe radiopharmaceutical orders from clients, determining the appropriateness of the prescription.
- Assays: Assay, measure, weigh, and compound radiopharmaceuticals through various processes.
- Radiopharmaceutical Procurement: Receive and procure radiopharmaceuticals, maintaining inventory and storing under proper conditions.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in the performance of quality assurance on radiopharmaceuticals, instruments, and equipment.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain records of all prescriptions filled and other relevant documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- 24 months experience in a nuclear pharmacy
- Licensed Pharmacist by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
- Oklahoma Preceptor's license by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Nuclear Pharmacy (BCNP)
Working Conditions:
- Physical: Manual dexterity, standing for prolonged periods, reaching, bending, stooping, speaking, and listening
- Environmental: Exposure to chemicals and radioactive materials
