Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Pharmacist to join our team at the University of Oklahoma. As a Nuclear Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the Nuclear Pharmacy, ensuring the safe handling of radioactive materials and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the Nuclear Pharmacy, including radiation safety and quality assurance.
  • Dispense radiopharmaceuticals pursuant to prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of assigned personnel in the safe handling of radioactive materials.
  • Participate in emergency calls and respond to situations requiring radiation safety expertise.
  • Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • 24 months experience in a nuclear pharmacy.
  • Licensed Pharmacist by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy or obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
  • Oklahoma Preceptor's license by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy within one year of hire.
  • Board Certification in Nuclear Pharmacy (BCNP) preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Physical: Manual dexterity, standing for prolonged periods, reaching, bending, stooping, speaking, and listening.
  • Environmental: Exposure to chemicals and radioactive materials.
