We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Nuclear Pharmacy team at Cardinal Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals to medical care providers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in preparing the pharmacy for daily operations, including cleaning, equipment testing, and inventory management.
- Follow standard operating procedures to organize, prepare, and dispense radioactive medications, as specified by manufacturers and in line with customer needs.
- Collect and process customer orders to ensure efficient communication and timely delivery of medications to patients.
- Perform administrative pharmacy tasks, such as billing, answering questions, and assisting customers to facilitate pharmacy operations and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain pharmacy safety through following and recording completion of daily infection control procedures.
- Assist in training and development of staff through mentorship of pharmacy tech trainees.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
- Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy, licensure as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Will successfully complete Cardinal Health's nuclear pharmacy technician training program or has been a previous nuclear pharmacy technician.
- Past IV experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company-owned vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Comfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks.
- Comfortable working in a nuclear environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smart phones, and tablets.
