About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Gastroenterology and Hepatology team in Denver. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and Advanced Care Practitioners with patient care, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and documentation.
- Pre-visit planning and preparation to ensure seamless patient care.
- Follow established patient intake and rooming procedures to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Perform Point of Care testing and other clinical tasks as needed.
- Utilize electronic documentation systems to record patient information and update medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
- One of the following certifications: CMA, RMA, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
National Certification in Medical Assisting is highly desirable.
