About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Gastroenterology and Hepatology team in Denver. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist physicians and Advanced Care Practitioners with patient care, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and documentation.
  2. Pre-visit planning and preparation to ensure seamless patient care.
  3. Follow established patient intake and rooming procedures to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  4. Perform Point of Care testing and other clinical tasks as needed.
  5. Utilize electronic documentation systems to record patient information and update medical records.
  6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  7. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
  • One of the following certifications: CMA, RMA, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

National Certification in Medical Assisting is highly desirable.
