Job Summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment of patient needs and health plans by taking vital signs, history, medication listings, and determining chief complaints.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in the patient's medical record in accordance with practice charting policies.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians with medical treatments, exams, and medical procedures.
  • Perform venipunctures, CLIA-Waived and non-CLIA Waived lab testing, and maintain accurate records.
  • Stock rooms and take inventory of medical and exam room supplies.
  • Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Arrange for specialized consultations and appointments as ordered by physicians.
  • Notify insurance personnel to pre-certify surgeries or tests requiring pre-certification.
  • Answer office phones and assist with scheduling appointments and directing calls.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.
  • Current credentialing (certification/registration) with a recognized medical assisting organization.
  • Ability to maintain credentialing with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA-CMA), NRCMA, NHA, NCCT, or American Medical Technologists (AMT-RMA).
