Position Overview:
The Facility Cleanliness Specialist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby and common guest areas while providing courteous service to all guests.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure cleanliness of parking lots and public spaces.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and quarterly cleaning checklists.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, thresholds, baseboards, railings, elevators, stairwells, and window frames.
  • Vacuum and spot clean carpets, upholstery, and drapery, ensuring surfaces are free of debris.
  • Clean and shine all glass and metal surfaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles, replace bags, and dispose of waste properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned offices.
  • Stock and clean public restrooms.
  • Ensure cleanliness of public and service elevators.
  • Perform opening and closing side work as instructed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a cheerful demeanor at all times.
  • Report any maintenance issues or supply needs to the appropriate departments.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to enhance communication and knowledge.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and comments in a timely and knowledgeable manner.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines to ensure the protection of self, associates, and guests.

Qualifications:
  • Education: No formal education required.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Ability to maintain a standard appearance and meet cleaning standards; basic understanding of cleaning methods and chemicals.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:
  • Lifting cleaning supplies up to 30 lbs.
  • Pushing and pulling equipment.
  • Continuous standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Bending to operate machines and load chemicals.
