Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team at Flagship Facility Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our office environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting of floors, walls, and surfaces.
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and scrubbing machines.
  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals in restrooms.
  • Sweep and mop tile floors with disinfectant.
  • Spot clean walls, partitions, and doors.
  • Refill restroom dispensers as needed.
  • Perform periodic cleaning tasks, such as cleaning overhead vents, dusting blinds, and polishing wood furniture.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment.
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Work Environment

Our office environments are small-to-large and fast-paced. You will be exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to perform repetitive movements, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
