Position Overview

The Associate Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in our organization, tasked with addressing the most challenging technical issues that other support levels have not resolved. This position is essential for ensuring that our employees and technical systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of hardware, software, and networking systems, including Active Directory, Citrix, virtualization, and security management.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of installed software, oversee software licensing, and establish policies for upgrades.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and readiness of new equipment.
  • Create and manage user accounts while adhering to company access control policies.
  • Provide mentorship to help desk personnel regarding hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with the HR department for the onboarding of new employees, both onsite and remote.
  • Prioritize and resolve support issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
  • Respond promptly to IT requests and issues, ensuring effective monitoring.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Install personal computers and related hardware.
  • Investigate and repair hardware issues or coordinate with vendors as needed.
  • Complete additional projects or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in end-user support or a related technical field.
  • Proven IT troubleshooting experience with familiarity in Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capable of working independently while providing timely updates to management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to research problems independently.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong rapport-building capability.
  • Adaptable and flexible, thriving under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and Identity Access Management.
  • Familiarity with device re-imaging and permissions management.
