Role Summary
The Associate Systems Administrator at PTR is a key position responsible for investigating and resolving complex technical issues that other support levels have been unable to address.

This role involves analyzing and identifying patterns in technical issue reporting to develop proactive solutions. The primary goal is to ensure that PTR's employees and technical systems operate smoothly and efficiently while delivering prompt and effective resolutions to all escalated requests.

Compensation
This position offers a competitive salary package that includes a base salary and an annual bonus opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of various hardware, software, and networking systems, including Active Directory, Citrix, hardware management, virtualization, IAM, and security protocols.
  • Maintain an inventory of installed software, manage software licensing, and establish policies for upgrades.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software vendors to ensure timely product delivery and installation.
  • Create user accounts and manage access control in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide mentorship to help desk personnel on hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Work with the HR department to facilitate onboarding for both onsite and remote employees.
  • Troubleshoot and prioritize support issues related to software, hardware, and networking for employees.
  • Monitor and respond effectively to IT requests and issues.
  • Exhibit effective time management skills and meet deadlines.
  • Install personal computers and related hardware.
  • Investigate hardware issues and coordinate repairs with vendors as necessary.
  • Complete additional projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Essential Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in direct end-user support or a related technical role.
  • Prior experience in IT troubleshooting and familiarity with products such as Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Capability to work independently while providing timely updates to team leaders or managers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to conduct independent research on issues.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
