Job Overview

Position: Bakery Worker

Key Responsibilities:

As a Bakery Worker, you will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing baked goods as directed by the Facility Manager, adhering to a daily baking schedule.
  2. Measuring and weighing ingredients accurately for dough and batter preparation.
  3. Operating various baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proof boxes, following standard procedures.
  4. Performing barista duties as required and assisting in training new staff members.
  5. Maintaining cleanliness of cooking and service equipment, including thorough cleaning of work areas.
  6. Managing the preparation of pizza dough and other baked items according to customer orders.
  7. Generating weekly inventory orders for bakery supplies and submitting them to management.
  8. Restocking supplies in the preparation and cooking areas as necessary.
  9. Monitoring and logging day-old bakery items for waste management.
  10. Serving food and beverages, and assisting with food preparation tasks.
  11. Executing additional duties as assigned to support the bakery operations.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English for effective communication with supervisors and customers.
  • Understanding of baking procedures and equipment operation.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions, including recipes.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform various physical tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in food service, particularly in baking.
