Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Specialist

Children's Health is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist Specialist will provide direct Speech Language Pathology services to patients in accordance with standards of practice. This includes independently selecting reliable and valid assessment tools, demonstrating progression of treatment plans, and implementing appropriate therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct Speech Language Pathology services to patients in accordance with standards of practice.
  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff therapists, students, and rehabilitation aides.
  • Assist in developing, interpreting, and reviewing policies and procedures of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, family, and other members of the healthcare team relative to patient treatment and progress.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of previous Speech Language Pathology experience required.
  • Two years of acute care experience and one year of pediatric experience preferred.
  • License to practice Speech Language in the state of Texas required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA required.
