About This Role

At Rutland Regional Medical Center, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Psychiatric Technician II, you'll play a vital role in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients on our Inpatient Unit.

Job Summary

This position involves assisting providers, leadership, and RNs in performing various duties to support patient care under established methods and procedures. You will work closely with our team to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and attention.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing treatment plans and supporting patient care activities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to report observations, deviations from patient care plans, and other pertinent information.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment progress.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a Mental Health Technician or in a related patient care technician role is required.
  • Certificate in mental health technology or a related field is desired, along with BLS Certification through American Heart Association and completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal, observation, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is between $19.29 and $28.50 per hour, reflecting the competitive market rate for this position.
