">Position Description
">This position involves working as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, specializing in pediatric social work. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health treatment to children in Southern-Central Vermont, collaborating closely with pediatric patients and their families.
">Main Responsibilities
">- Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and counseling to pediatric patients and their families, helping them navigate challenges associated with illness, hospitalization, and social needs.
- Social Need Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the social, environmental, and psychosocial needs of pediatric patients and their families.
- Care Plan Development: Collaborate with medical professionals to develop individualized care plans addressing the specific needs of each pediatric patient and family.
- Therapy Sessions: Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques.
- Community Resource Education: Deliver education and support to pediatric patients and their families about coping strategies, disease management, and community resources available to them.
Requirements and Qualifications
">- A Master's degree in social work (MSW), marriage and family therapy (MFT), or clinical mental health counseling (CMHC) from an accredited institution.
- Licensed clinician required (LMHC, LADC, LICSW, LMFT).
- Prior experience in pediatric social work or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of child development, family systems, and social work theories and interventions related to pediatrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
