Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at UROPARTNERS LLC. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Radiation Therapy Treatments: Utilize ionizing radiation-producing equipment to administer precise radiation therapy treatments according to the radiation oncologist's prescription and plan.
  • Assist in Patient Simulation: Collaborate with radiation oncologists to simulate patient treatments, ensuring accurate positioning and dosing.
  • Record and Maintain Treatment Information: Accurately document all treatments and procedures, maintaining up-to-date records in our clinic's information management system.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Warm-up Procedures: Conduct daily quality assurance and warm-up procedures on the treatment unit to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate Patient Appointments: Schedule and coordinate daily radiation therapy appointments and CT scans, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Monitor Patient Well-being: Regularly monitor patients' well-being during treatment and provide education and support as needed.
  • Report Complications: Identify and report any complications or concerns to the radiation oncologist in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred.
  • Experience: One to two years' experience preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: ARRT Registered, IEMA Licensed, BLS for the Healthcare Provider.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Clinical Information Systems: Familiarity with clinical information systems, preferably Mosaiq.
  • Knowledge of Radiation Therapy Equipment and Procedures: Basic knowledge of radiation therapy equipment and procedures.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiation oncologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Basic Knowledge of MS Office Products and Other Relevant Computer Programs: Familiarity with MS Office products and other relevant computer programs.
  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology: Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Work Environment

As a Radiation Therapist at UROPARTNERS LLC, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient interaction. You will be exposed to radiation-emitting treatment units and may be required to work in close proximity to these units. You will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure to radiation.
