Job Summary

The Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents and patients in a long-term care setting. As a member of our healthcare team, you will assist with daily living activities, education, recreation, and transportation, while maintaining resident/patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, ambulating, and skin care
  • Take initial vital signs and provide weights to nursing staff in a timely manner
  • Monitor and record resident/patient intake and output in accordance with unit standards or physician orders
  • Follow procedures for Universal Precautions and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Provide additional care as directed by the RN/LPN and assist with orientation of patient/resident/family to unit, facility, and services
Requirements
  • Must hold an active Maine C.N.A License
  • Ability to empathize with residents, patients, and families
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for working with long-term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients
